Recently, I took my husband's aunt who is 81 (with Alzheimer’s) from
LA to Philadelphia. She was moving back to PA, so we had 2 HUGE bags,
her walker, a cane and another carry-on. Outside of the departure
terminal, we found out that our flight was going to be 2 hours late in
departing.
This is when Karen Howard came to help us with a wheelchair. Karen
was amazing. She took control (physically) of our bags and the
wheelchair. She took us to the right person at the ticket counter and
made sure that our bags were tagged and on their way. Then, she took us
though the security. I would not have been able to navigate the ticket
counter or security without Karen. All the while, she was very calm
and reassuring that all was well in her hands.
Karen left us at a restaurant near the gate. She then went to our
gate and found out that the gate had been changed. She came back to the
restaurant to tell us the new gate and when the plane was re-scheduled
to depart.
Karen really went well beyond helping us with wheelchair assistance
and we wanted you to know what an excellent job she did for us. She
made all the difference! What could have been a very stressful
experience went very smoothly thanks to Karen.
We hope you will let Karen know how much we appreciated her help and positive manner.

Another Good Story From LAX
Wednesday, May 9, 2012
Congratulations Teshome
Teshome Andeta, G2 skycap at MSP, was awarded the most prestigious award at the MSP Airport today (The Dorothy Award). Each year the Airport Foundation chooses 3 employees who are nominated by their peers. Two Delta agents nominated Teshome. This award was named after a lady who spent countless hours serving the passengers of the MSP airport. He will be honored at the next Airport Managers Council meeting. At that time, he will also be presented with a check for $1,000.
He humbly accepted the award. We had also rounded up about 20 of his coworkers to share in the celebration. Ironically enough, one of our Ops Managers, Malik Dago, received this same award back in 2007.
We are very proud of Teshome and glad he's a valuable part of the G2 Team. Again, Congratulations for an outstanding performance at MSP airport.

Just a Few of Our Many Compliments
We just wanted to share some compliments that came our way recently. We're so happy to hear from our customers and encourage them to write us after every encounter.
Enjoy:
Doris B.
We are writing to you to commend Ms. Terri Coleman for the amazing
job she did in helping to locate our lost shipment that arrived LAX.
For 13 days, she was in daily contact with us, advising what she had
done and what responses, if any, she had received. Due to her diligence
and persistence, the shipment was finally located at Expeditors. She
called them three times and, after the third call, they found it in
their warehouse and realized it was not theirs. Her dedication and
determination saved my customer having to re-order the equipment which
would have jeopardized the delivery commitment to their own client.
American Airlines is fortunate to have such an employee who not only
enjoys what she is doing, but gets results!
Sincerely,
Doris B.

My family flew out of
Indianapolis on Saturday 4/28 and had Nicole help my father in a wheel
chair. ( I believe her last name was Manning) We can't say enough great
things about her. She was friendly, helpful, professional, and very
courteous. She went out of her way to help in any way she could. Her
help and kindness were a pleasant unexpected surprise. We wanted to
make sure she was recognized for such great service!

Please be advised that Ms
Chauhan provided the best care I have ever seen at LAX on April 18,
2012. She went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that my
special needs brother in law not only reach his destination on time and
safely, but that he feel comfortable and happy as she wheeled him to his
flight. I would love to expand on the details of outstanding care that
she took last Wednesday morning if I am contacted. There are countless
frustrating and disappointing experiences we have at airports across
the country....but this was not at all one of them. There aren't enough
words to express our gratitude to her for her kindness. My family greatly appreciates what she did for us.
Please thank her again from us.

Hello,
I wanted to take the time to compliment an employee. I believe his name is Kendall Hayden. My wife has arthritic knees and had to e shuttled to and from the gate with a wheel chair. This employee showed exemplary skills and should be a model for others to use. He was pleasant and courteous going above and beyond what we were expecting. He showed that there was a difference in simply assisting in moving a person from one point to another to become a very pleasant part of the airport experience.

The MSP Badging office each quarter recognizes different individuals across company lines for those that either have done something in particular or overall have made an impression. In total, 7 individuals stood out in different categories.
Our own Daniel Admasu was selected and recognized as the "Nicest Man at MSP." He is a great support to our station here at MSP and G2 across the country in all that he does. Please help in congratulating him.

All 111 G2 employees located at IND airport have accomplished this training and preparation work for the security screening procedures they will be performing upon the two team's arrival and departure at IND airport. Upon completion of the training, the Super Bowl Committee awarded our employees with a pin and certificate. Not only do our employees Charter Screen professional football teams at this location, but they perform other duties such as Cabin Cleaning, Janitorial work, Customer Care Agents and Bag Running. G2 is very eager and excited for this opportunity and looking forward to taking on the busy crowds that come with such a grand event.
